St Johns is situated in the quiet Market town of Spalding. The home is registered to provide accommodation for 55 service users. St Johns is a Care Home for the elderly, specialising in the care of people with Mental Health Disorders.

All service users are encouraged and supported by our Social Care Coordinator staff and family members to follow their practicable interests and hobbies. Our Social Care Coordinator provides regular activities and events to meet the needs of our service users.

Shopping days, church coffee mornings, Doctors and hospital appointments, church services, house entertainments, sing along evenings, Dominos, cards, Pantomime.

 

The Vicarage consists of four single ensuite, two double ensuite and one double bedroom.  The purpose built extension has fourteen single and fifteen double bedrooms all tastefully decorated and furnished. All bedrooms and communal areas have aid call points, which are cancelled, at source. There are six aid-assisted bathrooms three on each floor.

 

The home has spacious dining rooms and lounges.  There is a passenger lift for service users with easy to use controls.  The building is set in well-kept gardens, which have been considered for the resident’s safety and security.  To the rear of the building is a private car park with security cameras for the protection of visitors and family cars.

All outside doors have secure keypad systems for the safety of our service users.

Staff

Caring for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other Dementias require staff that have the right attitude and skills our staff at St Johns offer care based on the needs of the individual taking into account their life history.  We have trained Dementia care staff on duty 24 hours a day. Our staff under goes continuous training and assessment in N.V.Q care.  We aim to look beyond the disability and towards the person.

In addition to our care staff we also have the benefit of diversional Therapists who encourage and assist our service users with regular visits CPN, Dentist, Optician, Chiropodist, Hairdresser and Doctors from all our local surgeries which whom we have excellent relationships.
