Lyncroft is a period building with many of its original features carefully preserved and surrounded by large landscaped gardens. It is situated in an attractive wooded avenue in the charming old market town of Wisbech in Cambridgeshire.  Lyncroft provides the perfect setting in which to care and support the elderly.  The new extension has modern facilities but still retains the homely atmosphere of the original building.

The old house consists of 3 Shared, 2 Single en-suite (1 with bathroom) and 6 Single bedrooms all furnished to compliment the architecture of the building.  There are two bathrooms with chair hoists and toilets, a lounge area and a dining room. The upper floor is accessible by a chair lift.


The new purpose built extension has 24 en-suite bedrooms each with a telephone socket point, under floor heating, lockable bedside cabinet and wall mounted bedside light.  Each resident has their a key to their room to enable them to lock their room while they are out, for the security of their belongings.  There are also three bathrooms, two of which are fitted with chair hoists and two disabled toilets. There is a spacious lounge with dining area over-looking the garden and the patio. All rooms have a pager system installed.

Lyncroft’s on-going social programmes provide a host of regular activities, which include bingo, shopping, outings and theatre visits as well as seasonal festive parties and in-house entertainment.  We have access to a seven-seat people carrier to allow residents to enjoy the outside events and to attend appointments.  We also encourage residents to maintain contact with the community through religious services and other community based activities.

Finding us is easy; we are on the A47 and within easy reach of local towns such as Peterborough, Downham Market and King’s Lynn.  We are conveniently situated close to the Town Park and hospital.  The town with its two new pedestrian shopping centres is just ten minutes walk and has easy access for the disabled.
